Large Planes will
be able to land at Gazipasa Airport !
Existing 1.200 meters long runway of
Gazipasa Airport has been extended to
1.800 meters according to largest
Turkish newspaper, Hurriyet. Mayor of
Gazipasa stated that it was very crucial
to have the runway extended for the
airport to serve international flights.
Furthermore, the apron area between
runway and the terminal building is
being expanded.
The mayor also has obtained approval
from governorship of Antalya to employ
staff for the airport custom services to
servet he international passengers.
Gazipasa Airport is expected to open in
June 2009 to serve Alanya and
surroundings.
